Days of SDI 2014 held on 11 and 12 September in the common organization of the SGA and the Faculty of Geodesy at the premises of the Faculty. This year's conference was attended by 150 participants.

The meeting between Meteorological and Hydrological Service and State Geodetic Administration was held on 4th of March 2014 in the central office of the SGA. Directors of both institutions, Mr. Danko Markovinović on behalf of SGA and Mr. Ivan Čačić on behalf of MHS, expressed their mutual interest in a more active cooperation between these two seemingly different areas that have a lot in common in the domain of spatial data and sharing them.

The official INSPIRE website published the news of the publication of the report on the status of INSPIRE in the Balkan countries. The report provides an overview of the status of National Spatial Data Infrastructure in the Western Balkans and the review of their efforts towards the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive.
Registry of NSDI subjects and Registry of NSDI spatial data sources are published at the site of the NSDI ( www.nipp.hr ). Pursuant to the NSDI Law ( Official Gazette 56 /2013) National Contact Point shall establish and maintain the Registry of subjects and the Registry of NSDI spatial data sources.
The final conference of the regional project INSPIRATION - Spatial Data Infrastructure in the Western Balkan
The last regional event within INSPIRATION project - European INSPIRATION Conference, held in Sarajevo on 5 and 6 studenoga 2013th at Hotel Europe in the organization of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of Republic of Serbian.
On 25.11.2013 in the Ministry of Public Administration in Zagreb 5 NSDI workshop was held on, which was attended by 40 representatives of various institutions , NSDI subjects .
This workshop has practical character, as well as the previous one, where representatives of NSDI- acquainted with the way of completing the metadata in the Metadata Editor.
On 7 and 8 November 2013th in Frankfurt and Bonn Workshop on the exchange of experiences on the establishment of NSDI in Germany and Croatia was organized. The workshop was organized in the National Contact Point for INSPIRE Germany, Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie in Frankfurt / M, and the contact point for the North-Rhine West Falia in Bonn.
Updated INSPIRE Metadata Technical Guidelines have been published. This new version (1.3) clarifies some aspects of the implementation of the discovery metadata elements based on the experience built during the period of implementation 2010-13. It also includes an overview of the Metadata elements for Evaluation and Use defined in the INSPIRE Implementing Rules for the Interoperability of Spatial Datasets and Services.
The Pool of Experts is being set up by Commission in order to maintain the unique expertise that has been created during the development of the INSPIRE legal acts and Technical Guidelines.
The SDI Days 2013 Conference were held from 26th to 27th September 2013 in the city of Šibenik. It is based on the annual Croatian National Spatial Data Infrastructures (NSDI) and INfrastructure for SPatial Information (INSPIRE) Days. Until now four Croatian NSDI and INSPIRE Days were organized.

Today the Commission adopted the amendment to the Regulation on the interoperability of spatial data sets and services regarding the Annex II+III spatial data themes. The Regulation will be published in the coming weeks.

From 29 September to October 2 in Warsaw , Poland , EuroGeographics General Assembly organized by Polish Agency for Geodesy and Cartography was held.
The event was attended by over 140 participants.
The 4th NSDI workshop organized by the State Geodetic Administration held on at the Ministry of Public Administration at Sept. 16th,2013. The workshop was attended by about 40 participants, representatives of NSDI subjects.
The workshop presented Register of the NSDI subjects and Register of the NSDI resource of spatial data. Practical documentations of the NSDI metadata was exesised.
The 10th constituent meeting of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) Council was held on 11th September 2013. Croatian Government at its session on 1 August 2013th adopted a resolution on the appointment of the president and members of the NSDI Council.

On 5th and 6th of June 2012 the first regional training of the INSPIRATION project „Spatial data infrastructure in the Western Balkans countries“ was organized under the 5th regional conference on cadastre and spatial data infrastructure in Laktasi, Banja Luka, Serbian Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
ZG Geoportal was presented on 10th of May 2012 in areas of the City Administration at a press conference. Geoportal was presented by the holders of the project: City of Zagreb, City Office for Strategic Planning and City Development and APIS IT.
The new GMES Emergency Management Service (GIO EMS) was launched in April. The GIO EMS mapping service provides digital map information derived from satellite imaging sensor data combined with national in-situ reference data and other data to support geospatial analysis and decision making processes of emergency managers.
The Croatian Government on the open part of the 21st session adopted the Implementing Rules for network services on a national spatial data infrastructure.

European Location Framework (ELF) is EuroGeographics program initiative. ELF's mission is to build infrastructure for reference set of geospatial data that will contain an interoperable set of reference data and services, and will be constructed on the basis of information of national state geodetic administrations and will allow users to build further products and services on it.

Mayor of the City Novska, Mr. Antun Vidaković and representatives of the company Geofoto from Maribor, which created the Web application, on 15th December 2011 introduced new spatial information system of the City Novska. City Novska a number of years works on the development of GIS and spatial information system and belongs to a group of few cities that have been published spatial information system via the web.
The European Commission on 12th December 2011 presented a strategy for open access of the public sector data. As a result of this strategy at EU level it is expected a 40 billion € profit each year.
On 29th November 2011 NSDI Council held its sixth session. Together with a full report on the current work of the working group in 2011 and the third Croatian NSDI and INSPIRE Day, the Council adopted the information on the activities on the transmission of the INSPIRE Directive into Croatian legislation. More important agenda items were related to the adoption of the proposal of the national metadata profile and the draft Implementing Rules for network services. The Council was informed about the results of the public discussion of the Agreement on the exchange, access and share of spatial data.

First high Level United Nations forum on the management of global geospatial information was held in Seoul in the period 24-26 October 2011.
