2016 CEF Telecom calls for proposals

The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is a key EU funding instrument to promote growth, jobs and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment at European level. It supports the development of high performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in the fields of transport, energy and digital services.

The grants under CEF Telecom will help European public administrations and businesses to hook up to the core platforms of the digital services that are the object of the calls. Up to €70 million is foreseen from the 2016 CEF Telecom Work Programme for grants in the area of Generic Services.

For the CEF Public Open Data it is foreseen up to €3,5 million for grants. In order to support a cross-border harmonisation process, the call addresses the aggregation/harmonisation of datasets covering cross-border areas in priority domains. CEF Public Open Data states, as one of the objectives, that it gives priority to the spatial data domain. The call is open from 12.05.-15.09.2016.

All the information about 2016 CEF Telecom general objectives and actions planned this year can be found in the Work Programme.
