200th spatial data source published on the NSDI Geoportal

200th spatial data source is published on the NSDI Geoportal. The last reported source is a view service of the protected areas of special water protection reported by Hrvatske vode. It took almost two years (from 22.05.2015) to double the number of sources in the National Catalogue.

It is important to emphasize that this record confirms the trend that occurred during the past few years. Although the number of records in the catalog grew approximately 42% per year, it is the number of reported network services that gave the largest contribution. During the last year number of network services in the National Catalogue increased by 69%.

According to the NSDI law (NN 56/13), NSDI subjects are required to enter and regularly maintain the metadata for spatial data sources within their jurisdiction on the NSDI Geoportal, to ensure the availability of spatial data.

We thank all NSDI subjects who reported spatial data sources within their competence in NSDI.
