Sixth meeting of the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group (MIG)

The INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group (MIG ) was established in 2013 and aims to exchange experience and good practice related to the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive and the Implementing Rules, identify and advise on priority issues, identify issues related to INSPIRE implementation and prepare and regularly update the work program for INSPIRE maintenance and implementation.
At the 6th meeting of the expert group, held in Brussels on 13-14 June 2017, the following topics were dealt with:
- Update on Commission initiatives - INSPIRE Reporting: Monitioring 2016 and Country fiches, Study of INSPIRE data sharing, access and use and presentation of the updated geoportal,
- A review of progress, review and discussion on the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Work Programme,
- Collaboration with international standard setting bodies,
- INSPIRE Conference 2017.
After the meeting of the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group, on 14 June 2017 the 12th Meeting of the INSPIRE Committee was held on the subject of possible revision of the Implementing Rules and Committee's support for the proposed changes.
At the sixth meeting of the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group and the 12th Meeting of the INSPIRE Committee Ljerka Marić, Head of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Sector, participated as a representative of the Republic of Croatia.
