A Report on the establishment, maintenance and development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure submitted

The State Geodetic Administration as National Contact Point (NCP) for INSPIRE submitted this year's Country Fiche on the establishment, maintenance and development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) which it is, based on amendments of the INSPIRE Directive upon entry into force Regulation (EU) 2019/1010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 on the alignment of reporting obligations in the field of legislation related to the environment, and amending Regulations (EC) No 166/2006 and (EU) No 995/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Directives 2002/49/EC, 2004/35/EC, 2007/2/EC, 2009/147/EC and 2010/63/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, Council Regulations (EC) No 338/97 and (EC) No 2173/2005, and Council Directive 86/278/EEC, obliged to do every year by March 31st.
 
The 2020 report is based on Country Fiche which has been expanded to include activities and results as of May 15, 2019.
 
This year's Country Fiche describes the progress of the NSDI and the results obtained relating to the number of identified spatial data sets and the number of network services developed. The achievement of interoperability of the data included in the NSDI has been slower and future activities of the NCP are planned in this direction. Also, activities on capacity building of NSDI realized within the implementation of the project “Capacity building for National Spatial Data Infrastructure Establishment” are described.
 
Based on the submitted Report, as well as other activities determining the status and progress achieved in the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive, the European Commission will evaluate the efforts made by Republic od Croatian in the establishment, maintenance and development of the NSDI.
