Workshop on INSPIRE Monitoring and Reporting, European Commission and 9th Meeting of the Committee Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE)

Workshop on INSPIRE Monitoring and Reporting, European Commission and 9th Meeting of the Committee Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) was held on 13th and 14th November, 2012 in Brussels (Belgium). Croatia was invited as observer and State Geodetic Administration as INSPIRE national contact point.

Workshop on INSPIRE Monitoring and Reporting, held on 13th November, 2012 aimed to analyse previous reports, improvements opportunities and directions of development through experiences of INSPIRE countries and EU commission.
Experiences of INSPIRE implementations from member countries; Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, France, Sweden and Finland were presented.
Problems and different issues such as mismatch of metadata and data, different interpretation of data sets, purpose and quality of INSPIRE geoportal were discussed and elaborated.

The assembly gathers representatives of member countries and European Commission. It also presents mechanism for development of INSPIRE policy. Main topics were: implementing rules for annexes II and III, invoke network service, metadata which will expand to metadata for network services, reports on INSPIRE geoportal which will go beyond test level to operational version. All presentations on different topics were followed by constructive discussions.
