The 43rd NSDI workshop held
On December 8, 2025, the 43rd National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) workshop entitled „Inclusion in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure" was held in the form of a webinar via the Microsoft Teams platform, organized by the State Geodetic Administration. The workshop was intended for local government units, specifically cities that do not yet have the status of NSDI subjects in accordance with the NSDI Act.
The aim of the workshop was to help the aforementioned public authorities in joining NSDI through a series of presentations that explained fundamental concepts and obligations of subjects in the establishment, maintenance, and development of NSDI. The workshop also included a practical session, in which representatives of the cities actively participated by entering their data into the Register of the NSDI Subjects and by registering the spatial data sources under their jurisdiction in the Register of the Spatial Data Sources.
A total of four presentations were held:
- "Anyone can easily find, understand, and use spatial data" - Tomislav Ciceli, MSc
- "NSDI Geoportal and GeoHrvatska" - Iva Gašparović, PhD
- "Introduction to Metadata" - Tanja Rodin, MsC
- "NSDI Registers" - Ana Geceg (practical session)
The State Geodetic Administration, as the National Contact Point for NDSI, continues to make efforts to ensure support for NSDI subjects in all segments of the establishment and development of NSDI in the Republic of Croatia.
