The Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the NSDI Report for 2025
The Government of the Republic of Croatia has adopted the Report on activities on the establishment, maintenance, and development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) for 2025 at the 151st session of the Goverment, held on March 5th, 2026. The report was submitted by the NSDI Council based on the Act on the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (Official Gazette No. 56/2013, 52/2018, 50/2020).The NSDI is established in accordance with the NSDI Act and is an integral part of the European spatial data infrastructure in line with the INSPIRE Directive 2007/2/EC.
During 2025, the number of participating subjects and data sources continued to grow. 159 subjects and 1247 spatial data sources were recorded on the NIPP Geoportal, which represents an increase of 12% in the number of subjects and 10% in the number of sources compared to the previous year. Data interoperability also improved, with the number of network services increasing by 11%. By the end of 2025, a total of 600 network services were available through the NSDI Metadata Catalogue.

According to the results of the annual monitoring of the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive, the Republic of Croatia has been highlighted for the second consecutive year as an example of good practice, particularly regarding the nearly complete conformity of metadata.

The State Geodetic Administration, as the National Contact Point, continued the development and improvement of key system components - the NSDI Geoportal, NSDI Registers, as well as the GeoCroatia viewer and mobile application, while also conducting workshops and providing technical support to NSDI subjects.
By adopting the Report, the continuity of NSDI development has been confirmed as a fundamental infrastructure for managing and sharing spatial data in the Republic of Croatia, as well as further alignment with European standards.
