Announcement of the 44th and 45th NSDI thematic workshops
In continuation of the ongoing activities of inclusion of subjects in NSDI, the State Geodetic Administration is organizing the 44th and 45th NIPP workshop, which will be held on May 5 and 6, 2026, online in virtual form via the Microsoft Teams platform.
The aformentioned workshops will be focused on entering metadata on the NSDI Geoportal. They are intended for those subjects that have already completed the first step, i.e. are registered in the Register of NSDI subjects and have registered their spatial data sources in the Register of spatial data sources, and are about to take the next step, i.e. enter metadata into the Metadata Catalogue on the NSDI Geoportal.

In accordance with the current legal regulations, local self-government units are, among other things, responsible for maintaining registers of communal infrastructure and unclassified roads, as well as for managing other spatial data sources within their scope. The aforementioned datasets are the focus of these workshops.
The 44th NSDI thematic workshop will be dedicated to the input of metadata for spatial data sources describing municipal communal infrastructure registers, while the 45th NSDI thematic workshop will be dedicated to the input of metadata for spatial data sources describing unclassified roads. Both workshops will be practical in nature and, with expert guidance, representatives of NSDI subjects will enter metadata for spatial data sources within their jurisdiction and become familiar with the possibilities and advantages of using the NSDI Geoportal.
