„SDI Days 2022“ began on October 19, 2022, with the opening of the exhibition "Descriptio oeconomiae - representations of economic contents on modern maps", in the premises of the State Archives in Zadar. The exhibition was organized by prof. Ph.D. Josip Faričić, who emphasized that the various cartographic representations presented on the exhibition (cadastral plans, topographical maps, maritime and other thematic maps) do not allow a complete reconstruction of economic features and processes, but they greatly indicate the meaning of maps as graphic representations of spatial data infrastructure that enabled the creation of a perception of space, understanding spatial relationships and interactions, but also managing spatial resources.

The “13th NSDI and INSPIRE” conference, held on October 20, 2022, gathered a significant number of stakeholders, authors and experts in the field of spatial data infrastructure.
Those present had the opportunity to listen interesting lectures that presented different experiences and views on spatial data and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.

The welcome speech was given by Ljerka Marić, head of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Sector of the State Geodetic Administration, after which the mayor of Zadar, Branko Dukić and the director general of the State Hydrometeorological Institute, Branka Ivančan-Picek, addressed the audience.

In this way, the “13th NSDI and INSPIRE day” was started. Afterward was followed an interesting invited lecture by Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Romane Matanovac Vučković on the topic "Copyright and open data". Dr. sc. Matanovac Vučković brought closer and clarified the issue of open data policies and protection of intellectual property over data and presented valid legal solutions.
