During their stay in Zagreb, as part of the TODO conference dedicated to open data, colleagues from Egypt visited the State Geodetic Administration on 11/29/2022. The aim of the visit was to exchange experiences in the field of SDI establishment in the Republic of Croatia and Egypt.
During the several-hour presentation attended by Prof. Amr Hanafi Ali, PhD, (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Benha University, Cairo) and Prof. Hany M. Ayad, PhD, (Engineering Faculty, Alexandria University, Alexandria) from the Egyptian side and Ljerka Marić, Msc and Tomislav Ciceli, MSc in front of the State Geodetic Administration as the National Contact Point of NSDI, the lessons learned from the process of establishing NSDI in the Republic of Croatia and the challenges that Egypt faces in the mentioned area were presented.
The meeting was moderated by Prof. Željko Bačić, PhD, who is also the host for guests from Egypt.
