On Monday, April 24, 2023, the 7th session of the NSDI Council was held. The main topics of the session were the adoption of the Report on activities on the establishment, maintenance and development of NSDI for 2022 and the Activity Plan of the NSDI Council for 2023. The documents mentioned were adopted unanimously.
During the last year, the number of subjects actively participating in the establishment of NSDI by publishing their metadata on the NSDI Geoportal increased by 23% compared to the previous year, and 121 new sources were recorded. It is important to note that as many as 58 of them are ready for interoperable use through network services.
The Council recognized the importance of the Commission's Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/138 of December 21, 2022 laying down a list of specific high-value datasets and the arrangements for their publication and re-use, and a thematic session of the NSDI Council will be held on this topic.
