Results of the annual Monitoring for 2024 published

The European Commission published the results of the annual monitoring of the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive for the year 2024 on its notice board on February 14, 2025. The monitoring was conducted on December 26, 2024, through an automated process by downloading all metadata records from the National Metadata Catalogue on the NSDI Geoportal that have the status of data relevant to the INSPIRE Directive.

The results of this year’s monitoring for the Republic of Croatia show nearly 100% compliance of metadata with the INSPIRE implementing rules for metadata, which has remained consistent year after year. The availability of spatial data via network services has increased by more than 10% compared to the previous year and now exceeds 50%.

The compliance of spatial data with INSPIRE models has also increased by more than 10%, while the compliance of the network services themselves remained at approximately the same level as last year.

Overall, for the second consecutive year, the Republic of Croatia has been highlighted as an example of good practice in improving data availability and compliance.

Preparations for the successful implementation of the annual monitoring begin at the end of September, when communication with NSDI subjects intensifies. During this period, through joint efforts, identified issues are addressed, such as metadata deficiencies, network services, or non-compliance with technical rules, all aimed at achieving the best possible results at the national level. The State Geodetic Administration, as the National Contact Point for the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive, continuously guides and directs NSDI subjects in fulfilling their obligations, and the success of the cooperation is evident in this year's result of the annual monitoring of the implementation of the INSPIRE Directive.
