Special attention was given to the GreenData4All initiative launched by the European Commission, aiming to update the European Union's rules on environmental spatial data and public access to environmental information. This initiative significantly impacts the development of spatial data management and the adaptation of the INSPIRE Directive. The NSDI Committee concluded that it is essential to highlight the issues that could arise from accepting the initiative in its current, original form. The initiative is currently in the public consultation phase via the "Have Your Say" platform, and one of the tasks of the NSDI Committee was to prepare responses for public consultation within the GreenData4All initiative as a joint response from the perspective of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure. Other institutions were also encouraged to contribute by participating in the consultation and submitting their own opinions. All opinions will be publicly available on the aforementioned platform.

The NSDI Committee is, in accordance with the NSDI Act (OG 56/13, 52/18, 50/20), a permanent implementing body of the NSDI that implements the NSDI establishment, maintenance and development policy as determined by the NSDI Council, coordinates and monitors the work of NSDI working groups, coordinates the implementation activities of NSDI subjects, reports to the NSDI Council, and performs other tasks. It consists of three representatives of the NSDI Council, three representatives of the National Contact Point, and the leaders of the working groups.
