A Report on establishment, maintenance and development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure was submitted

The State Geodetic Administration as a National Contact Point (NCP) for INSPIRE submitted this year’s Report on establishment, maintenance and development of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) which is obliged to draw up and submit to the European Commission every three years, by May 15, pursuant to the INSPIRE Directive and the Law on National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NN 56/13, 52/18).

The 2019 Report is based on the Country fische, which is expanded for activities and results achieved in the period 2016 to 2019.

The picture shows the development of the NSDI from 2016 to 2019, with 85 sources of spatial data in 2016, of which 49 network services, and in 2019 there are 214 sources of spatial data, of which 100 are network services.

This year's Report describes the three-year progress and achieved results in the NSDI which are related to the definition of the NSDI legislative framework, NSDI coordination structure, as well as the development and use of spatial data infrastructure. The Republic of Croatia has made progress in the number of spatial data sets identified and in the number of developed network services. The data interoperability included in the NSDI shows slower progress, so NCP has planned future activities to ensure the progress.

Based on the submitted report, as well as other activities that determine the status and progress made in implementing the INSPIRE Directive, the European Commission evaluates the efforts the Republic of Croatia has made in the establishment, maintenance and development of the NSDI.
