Pursuant to Article 31, paragraph 4 of the Act on the Government of the Republic of Croatia (OG 150/11, 119/14, 93/16, 116/18) and Article 27, paragraph 1 of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act (OG 56/13, 52/18, 50/20), at its 24th session, held on November 26, 2020, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Decision on dismissal of the Acting President and Members of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Council (NSDI) and at the same time Decision on the appointment of the President and Members of the NSDI Council was adopted.
The Government of the Republic of Croatia has issued appropriate dismissals and appointments, and as the President of the NSDI Council Director General of the State Geodetic Administration, Damir Šantek, PhD, has been appointed.
The NSDI Council is a body that proposes to the Government of the Republic of Croatia a strategy, operational programs and other acts relevant to the NSDI, promotes the establishment, maintenance and development of spatial data sources and their metadata, adopts criteria for sharing spatial data sources for interoperability, makes decisions on definitions and detailed descriptions of spatial data themes as well as many other tasks relevant to the establishment, maintenance and development of the NSDI.
