NSDI Themes

Joining the EU, Croatia has taken the obligation to take over the INSPIRE directive into their legislation. The Law on the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NN 56/13, 52/18, 50/20) was introduced in May 2013 and through the Law 35 spatial data themes were defined. Data on mine suspected area is a theme, which is further defined in our law and is different from the INSPIRE directive, which covers 34 spatial data themes. In the Law on NSDI, spatial data are distributed through three Annexes: I, II and III. Definitions and descriptions of the spatial data themes NSDI, Annexes I, II and III (draft in Croatian) can be found on the website of the NSDI while the original document in English can be found on the website of INSPIRE.
To assist subjects in defining INSPIRE/NSDI themes that comprise their spatial data INSPIRE has developed a platform INSPIRE Interactive Data Specifications, which supports and assists subjects in the implementation of INSPIRE. The platform consists of two applications: Find your scope and Data specifications.
