The basic task of this Workgroup is to provide suggestions for the most efficient way of building the National Spatial Data Infrastructure capacity, which relate to human capacities and raise their level of knowledge about NSDI.
Head of the Workgroup Vesna Poslončec-Petrić, PhD., introduced the members of the Workgroup with the tasks deriving from the NSDI Strategic Plan for the period 2017 – 2020, concerning:
- developing guidelines for the introduction of SDI into study programs,
- participation in the development of the Communication Plan,
- participation in the realization of planned workshops,
- submitting the Work Report for 2018, and
- participation in professional conferences and workshops.
Further Strategic Goal No. 5 and the task of developing guidelines for the introduction of SDI into study programs was discussed. This task is considered the most demanding task to be undertaken in order to carry out the Work Plan for 2018.
The next meeting was agreed in June when the focus will be on giving the Workgroups contribution to the Communication Plan.
