Act on Amendments to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act at 2nd reading

The Government of the Republic of Croatia has proposed to the Croatian Parliament the Final proposal of the Act on Amendments to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act. Session of the Committee for Legislation of the Croatian Parliament was held on 16th of May 2018, while the session of the Physical Planning and Construction Committee as the parent working body was held on 17th of May 2018. Both Committees have unanimously adopted the Final proposal of the Act which is expected to be sent to the parliamentary debate soon.

With this Final proposal of the Act, the current National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act (NN 56/13) is in line with the Directive 2007/2 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) in the part reffering to spatial data themes definitions and access restrictions. It also prescribes an access to spatial data sources for public authority bodies whose jobs may have an impact on the environment and it regulates the NSDI registers more specifically. With this Final Proposal of the Act, the Directive is fully transposed into Croatian legislation.
