On December 17, 2020, the constituent session of the seventh convocation of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Council was held in a virtual environment.
President of the NSDI Council, Damir Šantek, PhD, informed the members of the NSDI Council and others present that the Government of the Republic of Croatia at its 24th session, held on November 26, 2020, adopted a Decision on dismissal of the acting president and members of the NSDI Council and at the same time adopted a Decision on the appointment of the President and members of the NSDI Council.
Members of the NSDI Council are representatives from the National Contact Point, state administration body responsible for environment and nature protection, construction and physical planning, e-Croatia programme, defense, traffic, transport infrastructure and electronic communications, agriculture and forestry, science and education , protection of cultural heritage, economy, state surveys and real estate cadastre, official statistics, meteorological and hydrological activities, maritime safety, hydrographic activities, community of geodesy and geoinformatics, information technology and professional association of chartered geodetic engineers.
At the constituted session of the NSDI Council, the Rules of Procedure of the NSDI Council were adopted. Representative of the state administration body responsible for state survey and real estate cadastre, Ljerka Marić, Msc, and the representative of the state administration body responsible for environmental and nature protection, Aljoša Duplić, PhD were unanimously elected as Vice Presidents of the NSDI Council. Also, a representative from the National Contact Point, Tomislav Ciceli, Msc, was unanimously elected for Secretary of the NSDI Council.
In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the NSDI Council, as a permanent implementing body of the NSDI, the NSDI Board was established. The elected president of the NSDI Board is Ljerka Marić, Msc, and as members of the NSDI Board were elected Tomislav Ciceli, Msc, Iva Gašparović, PhD, representatives of the National Contact Point; Tanja Pušelj Ostroški, representative of the community of economy and information technology; Mladen Maros, a representative of the state administration body responsible for the economy, and Željko Perić, a representative of the community of economy, geodesy and geoinformatics.
At the session of the NSDI Council, the Action Plan for the Establishment, Maintenance and Development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure for 2021 was adopted, with emphasis on legislative measures, capacity building and awareness raising on the NSDI, technical measures and the work of the NSDI bodies and National Contact Point.
