The last regional event within INSPIRATION project - European INSPIRATION Conference, held in Sarajevo on 5 and 6 studenoga 2013th at Hotel Europe in the organization of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of Republic of Serbian.
The conference was opened by the introductory speech the envoy of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Mate Bandur.
Representatives of all countries in the region (Albania, Montenegro, FYR Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo), which are national institutions for the state survey and cadastre participated in this project, prior to the conference signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Regional Cooperation.
With a desire for a common, regional cooperation in the field of spatial data infrastructure (SDI), all participants agree that the starting point for cooperation are the following:
• strengthening regional cooperation and information exchange in the field of SDI and INSPIRE;
• preparation and implementation of regional IPP projects of common interest;
• exchange of scientific and technical information, regulations, standards and specifications of products in the field of IPP;
• joint organization of symposia, workshops and international promotion of joint projects in the field of IPP;
• other tasks and activities of common interest to the signatories.
Director of SGA, sir. Danko Markovinovic during the conference took the opportunity to announce the project that is a continuation of the INSPIRATION project, and will be funded by the Swedish Agency for International Cooperation and Development Agency (SIDA, Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Devalopment). During the announcement SDI Days 2013 – Proceedings was presented (available for download in digital format).
Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs took the opportunity for a public presentation of their own geo-portal (available at the following link http://www.katastar.ba/geoportal/catalog/main/home.page) which put in operation by Prime Minister Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Nermin Niksic.
During the conference a round table was organized with a discussions on the IPP in the region, as well as experiences in the establishment and further steps. Guests of the round table were representative of the European Union Mr. Hugo de Grof, the Regional Co-operation Committee, Mrs Dragica Đurica, the Macedonian Agency for Cadastre Ms. Sonja Dimova and representative of the SGA Mr. Tomislav Ciceli.
