Cooperation between Meteorological and Hydrological Service and SGA within the NSDI

The meeting between Meteorological and Hydrological Service and State Geodetic Administration was held on 4th of March 2014 in the central office of the SGA. Directors of both institutions, Mr. Danko Markovinović on behalf of SGA and Mr. Ivan Čačić on behalf of MHS, expressed their mutual interest in a more active cooperation between these two seemingly different areas that have a lot in common in the domain of spatial data and sharing them.

















Director of MHS Mr Ivan Čačić emphasized the great interest in the active involvement of the MHS in NSDI, and stressed the benefits of NSDI as a foundation for building a thematic spatial data infrastructure.
At the meeting, Ms. Ljerka Marić, presented an overview of the NSDI development, and Mr. Tomislav Ciceli commented on the regulations governing the establishment of the NSDI and INSPIRE.















This meeting has opened possibility for collaboration with other NSDI subjects as well, that are according to NSDI Law obliged to include their spatial data in the NSDI.
