The “GreenData4All” initiative will contribute to Europe’s green and digital transformation by updating EU rules on environmental geospatial data and on public access to environmental information. The aim of the initiative is to:
- enable greater sharing of data between the public and private sector, as well as with the general public
- unlock the full benefits of data sharing for data-driven innovation and evidence-based decisions.

The goal of the “GreenData4All” initiative is to make the INSPIRE Directive an effective and cost-efficient instrument for exchanging environmental data to support the development of environmental protection policies and the transition to a more sustainable economy, for which additional regulations of the INSPIRE Directive are needed.
This public consultation is intended for all stakeholders, including EU citizens, environmental and geospatial data experts, businesses, NGOs, academia, and international partners. By participating in this consultation, you can help ensure that the updated rules on environmental data meet the needs of all users.
