Other co-organizers of the event were: The city of Varaždin, Faculty of organization and informatics, Geotechnical faculty from Varaždin and the Geodetic faculty from Zagreb. .
The primary goal of the assembly was to assemble representatives of institutions and NSDI subjects for the purpose of promoting establishing of NSDI and a more efficient and faster implementation of the INSPIRE directive in Croatia.
Through development and promoting of spatial data infrastructure, disciplines in the area of geoinformatics, geodesy, geography and cartography and other related sciences are also developed, and it also promotes the development of a geoinformatically educated society.
At the 1st NSDI and INSPIRE day, there were about 200 participants including guests from Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Macedonia, Norway, Slovenia and Serbia.
