Common metadata defines the basic elements of metadata for datasets, dataset series and spatial data services and the minimum requirements that must be met during their implementation, in accordance with the Common Requirements for ISO/TS 19139:2007 based INSPIRE metadata records of the INSPIRE metadata implementig rules and NSDI requirements.
