12th NSDI workshop

The 9th Conference dedicated to Spatial Data Infrastructures, SDI Days 2017 was held on 30th November and 1st December 2017 at the Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb in a joint organization of the State Geodetic Administration and the Faculty of Geodesy. The first day of the conference the 12th NSDI Workshop called "Interoperability of NSDI Data" dedicated to NSDI subjects was held. The workshop was attended by 41 participants, representatives of 22 institutions, NSDI subjects.
The aim of the workshop was to support NSDI subjects in meeting their obligations.
 

The workshop was opened by Mr. Tomislav Ciceli, Head of the NSDI Division. Ms. Ljerka Marić, Head of Sector has also welcomed NSDI subjects at the workshop opening. In her welcoming speech she pointed out that the National Strategy on Spatial Data Infrastructure was adopted at 57th session of the Government of the Republic of Croatia held on 22nd September 2017, which is why NSDI has gained importance, but the Strategy also derives some obligations of NSDI subjects as well as the State Geodetic Administration as a subject and the National Contact Point. At the workshop opening NSDI subjects were also welcomed by the Deputy Director of the State Geodetic Administration, Mr. Antun Vidaković.

 

The education was held by employees of National Contact Point: Tomislav Ciceli, Igor Vilus, Saša Cvitković and Tanja Rodin. Basic knowledge of interoperability, spatial data harmonization, network services and new validation tools were presented.
