The eighth in a series of NSDI workshops "Entering metadata on Geoportal NSDI" was held on 18 and 19.05. in the SGA. The workshop was held as part of the IPA 2010 - Support to the establishment of the components of the integrated land administration system (ISZA) in the State Geodetic Administration, funded by the European Union. As part of this project, as one of the modules NSDI Geoportal is realized by the IGEA companie, a part of the IN2 Group.
Participants in the introductory part welcomed the deputy director of the State Geodetic Administration g. Vladimir Majetić stressing the importance of inclusion the subjects in the NSDI through active participation in the NSDI establishment.
The first day the workshop was attended by 13 representatives of companies, and in the second day 15 of them. With subjects who are regular at all NSDI workshops and actively participating in the establishment of the NSDI, the workshop was attended by representatives of those institutions that have not yet been active, and who had the opportunity to hear all of their obligations arising out of the INSPIRE directive, or the NSDI Law, and the time frame for NSDI the establishement, which are obliged to respect.
The training was jointly held by employees of the National Contact Point and the company IGEA. The workshop consisted in part of the practical work and filling in metadata elements for a single source of data to the NSDI Geoportal. Presentations were made on the technical characteristics of the Geoportal and his formal background. Once again it was emphasized that the metadata comply with the INSPIRE specification for metadata and to assist you in completing the metadata presented website http://metapodaci.nipp.hr/.
An interesting discussion was developed in which responded to questions and subjects concerns. National contact point is as always available for any questions that may have remained unanswered, on the e-mail address infonipp@dgu.hr.
